Changmin knew Jaejoong would delete Seohyun’s
number on his phone and since he’s the smart Shim Changmin he saved a duplicate
copy. He checked his watch. It’s still a few hours before the performance. Jaejoong will definitely thank me for this,
he thought.
---
Seohyun was at the airport and she was about to
book a flight to Seoul when she received a message from changmin. She was
surprised when Changmin asked for her number last night. He didn’t get in
contact with her until now.
Come to
universal studios.
We’ll be
perfoming.
Jaejoongie hyung would be really happy to see
you
-Changmin
She wanted to tell him she doesn’t want to go but
she would be lying. She’s sure as hell wanted to see them perform live. Darn it
she can’t go. You should go home Seohyun,
she told herself. She kept repeating the same lines to herself but as she did
she was already walking towards the exit.
----
She might as well die than let this chance pass.
She knows it’s stupid but ever since she met Jaejoong she had been doing stupid
things she never done before. She took a taxi to universal studios, bought a
ticket then look for the place where Tohoshinki will be performing. She counted
the money left in her wallet and she almost wept. She’s as poor as a beggar
sleeping on the streets. All she had left are coins. She decided to ignore her
problem at least until the performance ends. She doesn’t want her problem to
ruin her mood. She was excited to see Jaejoong perform live and her heart
leaped with joy, her problem momentarily forgotten.
Once she found a place to sit she sent a message
to Changmin. “Oppa, I’m watching so you guys better be good. Goodluck!”
----
Jaejoong was so happy when he found out from
Changmin that Seohyun is in the crowd and will be watching their performance
but he didn’t dare let it show on his face. He will not give Changmin the
satisfaction. Calling him Hyungnim once is enough. A few moments ago he was
worried he might not catch her at the airport in time but now that she’s here
all he’s worried about was how to impress Seohyun. He was happy but nervous at
the same time. He can’t make mistakes now that Seohyun is watching.
---
Seohyun never expected their performance would
leave her speechless. They took her breath away… literally. They sang 4 Japanese
songs. Two are ballads and the other two are lively dance songs. She noticed
one of the songs is an OST of a famous Japanese anime but she can’t recall the
title. They were sweating hard all throughout the performance and it’s no
wonder since they’ve been dancing and
jumping up and down like little kids having fun not to mention the sun is
blazing hot since its almost noon. When they sang the ballad the notes were so
high and when other singers might have not pulled it off well, Tohoshinki was
able to sing it very well. It wasn’t perfect though. A couple of notes were a
bit off but nevertheless it was the best live performance she had ever seen.
Being a music lover she is, Seohyun had seen a lot of performances from
musicals to concerts of both Korean and International artists. Tohoshinki’s
performance is way more amazing than all those other performances. And now,
she’s proud to say she’s a Dong Bang Shin Ki fan.
After the performance she wandered around the
Universal Studios. Buying a ticket for Universal Studios cost her a plane
ticket to Seoul. She might as well make the most out of her money. She decided
Universal Studios is probably as big as Lotte World. She can’t be sure because
she’s never been to Lotte World. She once asked her father permission to go
with her friends but he refused. He probably doesn’t want to see a headline in
the newspaper stating, “ SME CEO Lee Soo Man’s daughter plunged to her death
after a roller coaster ride” or “SME CEO Lee Soo Man’s daughter got trapped in
the Ferris wheel for hours almost died
from fright. “ No, he’s not scared with the thought of his daughter dying. He’s
scared of seeing his name being the topic of a very bad news. Soehyun finds it
hard to decide which ride she should go first. Thinking that she was about to
do something that her father definitely wouldn’t approve, she smiled. She’s
acting like daddy’s-bad-little-girl and she likes it.
---
Jaejoong was searching for Seohyun from the crowd
of people but it was impossible. The stage where they performed is a ship
almost like the Going Mary in One Piece. It’s in the middle of the sea and the
audience sits a good distance from the stage. Even if the crowd is near enough
he doubts he would see Seohyun due to the huge number of people who watched the
performance. Still he was happy knowing that somewhere in the audience Seohyun
is listening to their songs.
They have a few hours left before their press
conference regarding a newly released single that they were promoting. Jaejoong
decided to use those few hours searching for Seohyun. He was planning on calling her on the phone
but after a few minutes of walking among the crowd and ignoring the stares
directed to him, Jaejoong realized that luck is probably on his side. He stared
at the top of the Ferris Wheel and he smiled. Seohyun was sitting alone in one
of those cars.
----
Seohun decided to ride the Ferris Wheel first.
With the wind on her face and the great view of the world below, Seohun feels
like she’s on the top of the word and the feeling of freedom overwhelms her.
Her phone rang, an unknown number flashed on the
screen.
“Yes?” she asked wondering who the caller is.
“Come down here princess. You shouldn’t ride that
thing alone.” Jaejoong said on the other line.
“Oppa?” Seohyun’s heart did a somersault after
hearing Jaejoong’s voice. And ‘princess’?
Why does he have to make her heart pound so hard by giving her nicknames. He’s
really driving her crazy.
“Look down” Jaejoong commanded.
Seohyun obeyed. She searched for the person who
makes her heart flutter like crazy. And there she found him looking so handsome
and waving to catch her attention. She
waved back and with a grin on her face she said, “How did you find me?”
“I’m a stalker.”
“Liar.”
“Are you going to make me wait here? Jaejoong said
trying to sound annoyed. “It’s so damn hot. Hurry up and get down here.”
“Shiro” Seohyun teased. “Besides, I can’t stop
this thing.”
“Jump. I’ll catch you.” Jaejoong teased.
“I don’t wanna die, oppa.”
An idea came to him, “Ok, wait there.” He didn’t
hang up so she waited wondering what could Jaejoong possibly been thinking.
“Sumimasen,” Jaejoong told the operator with a
sense of urgency in his voice. “My sister called me saying she’s getting dizzy
and she’s about to faint. Will you please stop the machine and help her come
down. You see, she hates high places but she still insisted riding that thing
thinking she can handle it. Please… I’m begging you..” Jaejoong spoke in
Japanese and Seohyun couldn’t understand what he’s saying. Whatever it was, it
definitely made the ferris wheel stop so she could get off. The other riders
are getting annoyed by the interruption but Jaejoong didn’t seem to mind. He
was beaming wide when she was finally on the ground.
“You ruined my ride.” Seohyun complained. She
ended the call when she reached Jaejoong’s side.
“Well, hello to you too.” He said.
His smile is really contagious. She suddenly found
herself grinning. “Annyeong, oppa.” She’s still wondering about what Jaejoong
told the operator a while ago so she asked him, “What did you tell the
operator?”
Jaejoong looked at the operator who was still
staring at them with a grim expression. He’s probably annoyed thinking, Damn that guy. He fooled me. His sister
looks fine. He turned his attention back to Seohyun. “I told him, ‘stop
that damn thing or else I’ll blame you if my girlfriend dies from heart attack
riding that thing’.”
“Girlfriend? You’re a big liar, oppa.”
Jaejoong laughed. “Common… let’s ride something more
fun.”
